I can't say enough good things about the service I received from Luis Hernandez at Kaylon Services while dealing with an issue with my FranklinWH solar backup battery system.

Our original solar installer, EHS, had gone out of business, which left us in a difficult position when our FranklinWH battery failed to provide backup power during two separate utility outages. After FranklinWH Tier 1 Support was unable to resolve an electrical fault remotely, the issue was escalated to Tier 2, which ultimately connected me with Luis.

From the beginning, Luis was professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping. Rather than immediately scheduling an expensive service call and having me incur unnecessary diagnostic and travel costs, Luis took the initiative to contact FranklinWH Tier 2 Technical Support directly and work through the problem with them.

Together, they made several adjustments to the system remotely and were able to get everything operating normally again. Luis then recommended monitoring the system for 72 hours to ensure it remained stable before determining whether an on-site visit was even necessary.

What impressed me most was his honesty and customer service. He could have easily made the trip, charged me for the inspection and travel, and diagnosed the system on-site. Instead, he first did everything possible to resolve the problem remotely and potentially saved me a significant service expense.

Luis also took the extra time to contact FranklinWH and clarify the warranty and reimbursement process on my behalf so I knew exactly where I stood.

That level of professionalism, transparency, technical knowledge, and integrity is increasingly difficult to find.

The work was done well, and he continues to be easy to communicate with and easy to have around the house — our dogs love him too.
